Tread lightly, she is near

放轻步伐，她在近旁

Under the snow,

她身处雪地之下，

Speak gently, she can hear

轻声说话，她能听见

The daisies grow.

雏菊的生长。

All her bright golden hair

她明亮的金发

Tarnished with rust,

如锈迹般失去光彩，

She that was young and fair

她年轻而漂亮

Fallen to dust.

落入尘埃。

Lily-like, white as snow,

她像洁白如雪的百合花，

She hardly knew

甜美地成长

She was a woman, so

她几乎不知道

Sweetly she grew.

她是一个成年的姑娘。

Coffin-board, heavy stone,

棺椁盖板，沉重墓石，

Lie on her breast,

压着她的胸口，

I vex my heart alone,

我孤独地感到内心的烦忧，

She is at rest.

她已长眠不起。

Peace, peace, she cannot hear

安息，安息，她无法倾听

Lyre or sonnet,

里拉琴或十四行诗，

All my life’s buried here,

我的一生葬在这里，

Heap earth upon it.

堆积泥土，将它埋殡。
